My Kitchen Rules best mates Angus and Simon brought back their Last Orders instant restaurant on Tuesday night, doubling down on their strategy of calling out rivals.
The South Australian duo boldly announced to the table that one of the gatecrashers needed to go home.
However, Angus and Simon admitted they hadn’t considered how their blunt opinions might backfire when the other teams came to score their dishes.

“The thought never crossed my mind,” Angus told 7NEWS.com.au.
“Maybe I was naive, because the gate crashers were acting like they were very holier than thou, and that they would never in any circumstance score down based on personalities.
“And the fact that this was reiterated so much, I did probably believe it. I thought, they have to put their money where their mouth is because everyone in Australia will see your score no matter what.”

Tensions between the original MKR teams and the gatecrashers have been simmering since the first cook, with contestants making no secret of where their loyalties lie.
Angus and Simon refused to apologise for calling out Zoe’s pescatarian diet, while accusing hipster mates Oliver and Harrison of using tears to garner sympathy votes.
Angus believed the low scores from the other teams didn’t match the quality of the meals they produced, which included duck and shitake dumplings, lamb cutlets with pickle salad and bread and butter pudding with black sesame ice cream.
“I mean, compared to our first cook when everyone really liked us, we got a huge score from the teams,” Angus said.
“The cooks were pretty similar but this round we started asking some questions and the scores were very different, so I think it can come into play for sure.”
Simon said he was “perplexed” and also believed the dishes weren’t scored fairly.

“I actually was a bit perplexed with our second cook because technically nothing really went that wrong,” Simon said.
“I mean a couple of pieces of meat were, according to Alisha, a little bit under for her liking, which is fair enough, that’s fair enough feedback.
“But like even the judges said there wasn’t technically anything wrong with the execution of the dishes. It was maybe the construction and the flavor profiles put together. Sure. But the actual technical elements were fine.
“So there was nothing really wrong with the dishes but it was still scored really heavily down, I think, comparative.
“I’m not saying it was an 80 or even maybe 70, but I thought we’d land in the mid 60s, which was obviously disappointing.”
Angus and Simon were given a total of 55 for their cook, putting them just one point above Alisha and Deanne, who are sitting in last place.

They admitted being outspoken about their views may have affected how the teams scored, so they’re going to think twice before getting caught up in the table drama.
“We really thought we could get the psychological edge,” Angus said.
Next week, gatecrashers Zoe and Zac are the last team to cook, but will Alisha and Deanne survive another elimination?
